“Our daughter was struggling with taking a bottle and nothing we tried seemed to work. I was so thankful for a conversation I had with Jackie where she encouraged me to look into a potential tongue tie based on other symptoms our daughter was experiencing. Our pediatrician had told us that she did not have a tongue tie after the hospital told us she likely did when she was born, so we never thought that was an issue. She ended up having a tongue, lip and one cheek tie released. After that, it was still a challenge to bottle feed and I was quickly approaching the end of maternity leave. I contacted Jackie and she was eager to help us. She came to our home and was so great with our daughter (and even our pups). After our visit, she shared detailed notes which were super helpful to refer back to. Within a week of trying her recommendations, our daughter was able to drink from a straw cup and then shortly thereafter, she began taking bottles!
